Starting next week, construction will begin to replace 120 year old waterlines in Cheyenne Avenue and Maple Avenue from 3rd Street to 5th Street along with the line in 3rd Street from Cheyenne Avenue to Elm Avenue. Affected residents will receive a door hanger with information about the project and contact information should they have questions or concerns. The work includes replacing water mains, town owned service lines, updating pedestrian ramps to ADA standards and overlaying the streets. The contractor will endeavor to keep road closures and water shutoffs as minimal as is practicable, while allowing residents access to the front and rear of their homes. The project is expected to be completed by Friday, October 23.
