The Town of Eaton and Eaton Public Library have made the decision to close our offices and buildings on Thursday, December 22 due to the severe cold and winter storm that is anticipated to arrive Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning. Weld County has also made the decision to close its non-essential offices. The decision was made to ensure the safety of our employees and the public. Offices will remain closed Friday, December 23 and Monday, December 26 for the Christmas holiday. We will reopen Tuesday, December 27. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and would like to remind everyone that Town services can be accessed online at https://townofeaton.colorado.gov/. Additionally, urgent, non-emergency calls can still be made to our Police Department at (970) 454-2212. In case of an emergency, please call 911. For those in need, the Eaton Police Department will be open 24 hours as a warming center through Saturday morning. Anyone who needs assistance or access to the warming center will need to call the non-emergency number.
We’d like to thank our Public Works Crew and Public Safety Officers who will be working hard over the next few days to keep our roads and community safe. Please keep an eye out for them and continue to do your part to keep safe this winter.
