New Trash Service Details

New Carts

Delivery of two new 96-gallon, wheeled carts - trash and recycling - began the week of Sept. 16. If you have not received your carts by Sept. 27, please call WM at (800) 796-9696.


New Pricing

The below charges for trash and recycling will be in effect at the end of September.

Sanitation and Recycling Fee:

$21.80 flat rate - this charge covers service for your 96 gallon WM trash cart and your 96 gallon WM recycling cart. Included is also an administrative fee to cover the costs of billing and events like Spring Cleanup.

$4.95 - this charge is optional for residents who need extra monthly service for either an extra 96 gallon trash or recycling cart and the related service. This can be ordered directly through Waste Management and is billed separately.


Trash and Recycling Service

Alley trash service will remain for residents with alley service. Recycling service will move to the curbside.

The new curbside and alley trash service starts the week of Sept. 30. Your new service day is Thursday. Every other week curbside recycling service begins Thursday Oct. 3 & 10.


What to Recycle in Eaton

Clean and dry: aluminum and steel cans, plastic bottles &, containers, glass bottles &, jars, cardboard and boxboard (flattened) and clean paper.


Bulky Items and Additional Bags

WM offers pay ahead bulky item and additional bag (trash or yard waste that does not fit in your cart) collection. Bulky items must weigh less than 50 pounds and be contained within a 4 ft. by 4 ft. area and include: outdoor equipment, sports and exercise equipment, porcelain fixtures, mattresses, furniture, carpet, and appliances without freon. Pay ahead collection of bulky items is $40. Pay ahead collection of additional bags is $3.50 per bag.


Cart Collection

WM will pick up your older WM carts, NCD and unwanted personal carts Oct. 8-10. Please place your carts curbside on your collection day with your “Pick Me Up” label (included in your Service Information Packet) attached.
