The Town of Eaton is seeking a Public Works Director to serve as the principal director for the Public Works Department. The Town of Eaton is a vibrant, growing town in Northwestern Colorado centrally located 10 miles north of Greeley, 30 miles east of Loveland and 25 miles southeast of Fort Collins. We are close to two major universities, UNC in Greeley and CU in Fort Collins with a better than fantastic view of Longs Peak and the beautiful mountains that adorn Rocky Mountain National Park. We have a population of 6,600 and an operating budget of $13,333.000. The Town opened its new high school this year and boasts of many of the best sports teams for a Town of its size. Our Public Works Director is responsible for ensuring the provision of a wide range of public works activities and operations. These areas include streets, parks, facilities, fleet, wastewater collection and treatment, sewer plant operations, water distribution, and asset management. The position also manages the Town weed abatement programs; Capital Improvement Project Programs; inspections; and emergency management functions. As a direct report to the Town Administrator this position resides on the Town’s leadership team.
